MINUTES OF THE POLICY COMMITTEE MEETING OF THE BOARD OF LIBRARY TRUSTEES OF THE PALATINE PUBLIC LIBRARY DISTRICT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS, HELD AT THE PALATINE PUBLIC LIBRARY, 700 N. NORTH COURT, PALATINE, IN SAID DISTRICT AT 9:00 A.M. ON JANUARY 10, 2007

CALL TO ORDER

The meeting came to order at 9:10 a.m.

ROLL CALL

HHUpon roll call, Trustees Barnes and Heggem, Director Armstrong and Marcy Rodriguez were physically present.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

The minutes of the January 3, 2007 meeting were reviewed and approved.

POLICY DISCUSSION

Weapons and hazardous materials policy – The Committee discussed questions regarding a weapons and hazardous materials policy. Director Armstrong will develop revisions of Chapter 8 of the policy manual per these discussions. Director Armstrong will also contact the Palatine Police Department to obtain input regarding some questions that have been raised.

The date for the next meeting was set for January 16, 2007 at 9:00 a.m.
