The Palatine Public Library District recognizes the value of donations of time, ability and experience as well as donations of monetary gifts and memorials as all contribute to sustaining the Library as a resource in the community.
There are many options for connecting, lending a hand or offering financial support. Join in by choosing to get involved!
The Friends of the Palatine Library support library services and operations through proceeds from used book sales held 4 times each year. The Friends sponsor the Summer Reading Program t-shirts, the grand prize for those who complete the program.
The Palatine Public Library District Foundation serves as a link to the business community for purposes of building awareness, encouraging use of library resources and seeking financial support. The Foundation has promoted both computer and reading literacy through annual allocations to the Library.
Palatine Public Library District Volunteers assist staff in every area of the Library, including our branches. Whether interested in volunteering on a regular basis, for special projects, or for a shorter period to complete a requirement for school or other service organization, Palatine Public Library District cardholders are encouraged to apply to become a volunteer.
The Library welcomes contributions and donations. The Friends of the Library accept used books. Monetary gifts for materials in honor or in memory of friends and family enrich collections to the benefit of all patrons.
We are thankful for the generous gifts of our donors. When you make a donation of $100 or more, we will post your name on our Donor Wall along with the name of the person you are honoring.
Become a Library sponsor in our Winter Reading Program. Your business name/logo will appear on our promotional materials: posters, website, and in our Newsletter.
