Posted by: AndreaL | Posted on: Nov 04 2011

The North Hoffman Branch, located at Willow Recreation Center, 3600 Lexington Drive, Hoffman Estates will open on Monday, November 7, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Staff have been diligently working at the new location to arrange the space, furnishings, and materials.

This Branch provides a variety of adult and children’s materials including books, recorded books, music CDs, and DVDs. Patrons can find fiction and non-fiction books, biographies, magazines, and school textbooks. Computers will be available at this location and we will continue to provide fun drop-in programs and other events.

“We’re hoping that residents who have visited the Freeman Road location will enjoy this new branch as well,” states Susan Strunk, Library Director. “We invite all residents in our Hoffman Estates service area to come by and visit the branch.”

Getting a library card is easy. Just provide two forms of identification (including at least one photo ID) showing your current residency within the Palatine Public Library District. Children under 14 need to be accompanied by an adult when applying for a card. The walk-up book drop is located at the front of the building. The Branch hours will be Monday through Friday, 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m; Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and closed on Sundays.

Thanks to all our patrons and Hoffman Estates residents for their support. Please watch our website for forthcoming information about services and programs.
