Birth - Grade 2          15 Books

Grades 3 - 6              5 Books

Grades 7 - 12            2 Books

Adults                        2 Books

Give Back to the Community

When you take part in the Winter Reading Challenge, you help the community! When we all read a total of 7,000 books, these generous partners will donate to The Bridge Youth and Family Services.

What is The Bridge?

Since 1965, The Bridge Youth and Family Services has provided a safe place for youth in the Palatine community. The Bridge, a 501  ©(3) nonprofit organization, provides family and individual counseling, mentoring, social skills, and trauma recovery groups, and more. Their mission is to help young people and families achieve social and emotional health. 

Grand Prize Drawing

After completing the reading requirements, you will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win an amazing prize basket filled with gift cards, generously donated by these participating businesses.

More Ways to Give Back...

The Bridge Polar Fleece Drive

Wednesday, December 1 - Friday, December 31

All month long, bring in new or gently used polar fleece blankets, or two-yard sections of polar fleece fabric. Mentor and youth will create tied fleece blankets for donations to those in need. 

Get a Prize for Completing the Program

Adults and teens will receive a mug, and children (Birth through Grade 6) will receive fun, foamy fidget toys. Completion prizes are funded by the Friends of the Palatine Library.
