Fall Into These Great Programs for Adults this September

The start of the fall season means we have a whole set of events at Palatine Library. Here are a couple we think should not be missed this month:

 

Cycling and Paddling in Illinois

Tuesday, September 18, 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.
John Lynn presents where to cycle and paddle canoes while enjoying the beauty of Illinois for our state's 200th birthday. Sign up.

 

Register to Vote!

Tuesday, September 18, 5:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Tuesday, September 25, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Representative from the League of Women Voters will help you registered to vote. Illinois Governor, U.S. Congress, and numerous local candidates are up for election November 6. If your driver’s license/state ID is up to date, you can register online at https://ova.elections.il.gov/.

 

Fit4Mom Presents Stroller Strides®

Wednesday, September 19, 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
Stroller Strides® weaves songs and activities into a routine designed to entertain and engage baby, while moms are led through a series of exercises using their strollers. This special “Story Strides” edition also includes books! Ages 6 months through 2 years. Waiver required. To sign up call x132, or visit in person at Reader Assistance Desk.

 

Zumba

Wednesday, September 19, 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. *Held at Rand Road Branch*
Zumba is fun and easy to do! Join Nori Campa from Sue Garcia Fitness in this program that combines fast and slow rhythm routines to tone and sculpt the body. Wear gym shoes and comfortable clothing. Ages 14 and up. Sign up.

 

Board Game Night

Thursday, September 20, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Join us for an evening of gaming fun! Try our new board games or bring your own. A different game is demonstrated each session. Snacks provided. Ages 12 and up. Drop in.
