The Workshop is a self-led space where you can explore, build, and create. Featuring an up-to-date makerspace and media studios, The Workshop is located on the 1st floor of the Main Library.

The Workshop Lab
Makerspace's drop-in hours:
- Tuesday-Thursday 12:00 - 6:00 p.m.
- Saturday-Sunday 12:00 - 4:00 p.m.
The Lab is closed on Mondays and Fridays. Available to valid District cardholders.

Maker in Residence
This year, we welcome Hans Klemmer as our Maker in Residence, who has 40 years of photography experience. Learn more about our upcoming Maker in Residence season, which starts June 5th.
Materials Price List
The Workshop is free to use. However, we do charge to use some materials.
Media Studios
Our conversion, audio, and video recording studios are open during regular Library hours. Call 847-907-3600 x190 to make a reservation or book a studio online. Available to all valid District and reciprocal cardholders.

House Rules
- Equipment and tools are free to use.
- Some project materials can be purchased for a small fee.
- Supplies are limited and cannot be held for future use or mass production.
- Personal materials brought in for use must be approved by staff. We encourage you to bring in prepared files, samples, or inspirational photos.
- Be mindful of your deadlines; some projects may take time.
- You must stay in The Workshop while your project is in progress. Please clean up after completing your projects.
