Give Back to the Community
Take part in the Winter Reading Challenge and help the community! When we all read a total of 8,000 books, these generous partners will donate to support transportation, athletics, inclusion, scholarships, and general programming through the Northwest Special Recreation Association (NWSRA).

What is the NWSRA?
For over 40 years, the Northwest Special Recreation Association (NWSRA) has served residents with disabilities in 17 park districts including Palatine, Hoffman Estates, and Salt Creek. Along with providing programs to the park districts, the NWSRA also assists them in making their programs inclusive and accessible to residents with disabilities.
Grand Prize Drawing
After completing the reading requirements, you will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win an amazing prize basket filled with gift cards, generously donated by these participating businesses.

Holiday Cards
Thursday, December 8, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Help brighten the holidays for NWSRA clients, families, and staff with handmade holiday cards. All are welcome to decorate cards with stickers, stamps, markers and more!

Donation Drive
Monday, December 12 - Tuesday, January 31
During the Winter Reading Challenge, donate craft supplies to stock NWSRA's supply room for craft projects. Items needed are googly eyes, construction paper, glue sticks, pompom balls, pipe cleaners, stickers, feathers, and more.
