You may also submit a paper application, available at all Library locations. Some opportunities require a special application (as noted below).

Volunteers need a valid Palatine Public Library District card and must commit to volunteering a minimum of 15 hours for most positions (except special programs or events).  

Opportunities for Adults

Technology/Workshop Volunteer

Location: Main Library, The Workshop

Date/Time:  Multiple Opportunities Available on weekday afternoon or evening

Duration:  Short Term

Support the Technology Department in The Workshop assisting members with our craft projects, classes and events on the dates listed below.  Training will be provided for one hour ahead of the event.   Teens age 14-17 may apply for these volunteer opportunities.  

 

Cricut Design Space for Beginners - Tuesday, March 8, 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.

Cricut Activity Vinyl Mug or Tumbler - Friday, March 11, 1:00 - 2:30 p.m.

Roland Design 101 - Monday, March 28, 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.

Teen Advisory Board (TAB) - for grades 9-12

The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) meets monthly during the school year and members assist at various programs throughout the year.  Applicants must be in grades 9-12 to become a member.  Applications are available August 1-15.

Tween Hangouts - for grades 6-8

Our Tween Advisory Group (TAG) has a new format! Get to know other middle schoolers while enjoying a fun activity. Grades 6-8. Sign up begins 2 weeks before each meeting; sign up by clicking the date below. 

First Friday of the Month, 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.
