How to Sign Up: 

1. Download the Beanstack Tracker app to your smartphone or device. You may already have an account from past reading programs. Android | Apple

2. Starting Tuesday, June 1, log your books on Beanstack. 

3. If you cannot sign up online, call any location and our friendly staff will help you. 

For all valid District cardholders. 

Reading Requirments

Birth – Grade 2: Read 30 Books  

Grades 3 – 6: Read 10 Books  

Grades 7 – 12: Read 5 Books  

Adults: Read 5 Books 

What counts as a book? Anything!

You can include books, audiobooks, newspapers, magazines, audiobooks, ebooks, work reports, online articles, and more. Did you read a report at work, read a newspaper or magazine, listen to a great story, or research your latest home improvement project? That all counts on your log!

Just like a chameleon takes on colors from the world it sees, you can Color Your World as you see it and decorate your own t-shirt this year! Bring your Summer Reading t-shirt and decorate it using fabric markers or tie-dye.

End of the Summer Party and First Floor Celebration!

Saturday, August 7, 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. 

Celebrate the end of our Summer Reading Program with music and a dance show. We are also excited to celebrate the opening of our first floor Renovation. Tour the first floor and see the updated story rooms, children’s area, teen area, and marketplace of popular materials. Come to The Workshop and see the variety of technology and equipment available. 

  • Reading Colors Your World Storytime 1:10 – 1:30 p.m. 

  • Kids Craft Decorate your own colorful scratch art postcard. All materials included – while supplies last. 

  • Adult Craft Turn paper mosaic squares into colorful art. All materials included – while supplies last. 

  • Decorated T-shirt Contest Winners Announced Send in a photo of your decorated t-shirt, we will share it online and vote for the best. Categories: birth-grade 2, grades 3-6, grades 7-12, and adult. Visit for entry details. 

  • Hungarian Dance Troupe and Culture 3:00 – 4:00 p.m., Sign up: July 24 Join us outdoors under the big tent for traditional folk dancing and music. 

Design Challenge

July 5 – 23 

Drop in at the Main Library beginning July 5 to pick up materials to design a collage about how Reading Colors Your World. We provide some pages from withdrawn books to help create your masterpiece. Bring your design back to the Library by July 23 for display from July 25 – 31.
