Donations

Donations of books, CDs, DVDs, and LPs are gratefully accepted.
We do not take donations of VHS, cassette tapes, encyclopedias, or magazines.

The Friends does not accept book donations during the week of a Used Book Sale.

Tax Form for Material Donations

Book Nook

Buy gently used and discarded Library books for your personal bookshelf at heavily discounted prices with our Friends of the Library used Book Nook located in the Meeting Room hallway. Stop by during Library hours to browse through fiction and nonfiction titles, comics, CDs, DVDs, and more.

Membership

Membership costs $10.00. Applications are available at the Main Library Welcome Desk. 

Members have free admission to all book sales. They also receive The Friendly Leaf, the Friends newsletter about upcoming events, projects, and announcements.

About the Friends

The Friends have been a library affiliate for more than 60 years. They provide furnishings, materials, and equipment through fundraising events like used book sales. 

The Friends sponsor the Summer Reading and Winter Reading programs. Their contributions have totaled nearly a quarter of a million dollars to the Library District in the last decade.

No Book Sales During Renovation

During the Main Library renovation, there will be no Friends Book Sales. The renvoation is planned go through August 2026.
