• Thursday, June 1, log your books on Beanstack.
• If you cannot sign up online, call or visit any Library location for help from our friendly staff. Don’t remember your password? We can help!

All ages. For valid District cardholders only.

Birth-Grade 2: Read 30 Books
Grades 3 – 6: Read 10 Books
Grades 7 – 12: Read 5 Books
Adults: Read 5 Books

ANYTHING! Books include audiobooks, newspapers, magazines, ebooks, titles on your to be read shelf, and online articles. Did you check your car manual, read a report for work, research your latest vacation destination? That all counts on your log. 

Sign up between June 1 and August 7 to get a scratch-off card for a chance to win a free prize of your choice while supplies last. Save your scratch-off card for amazing freebies and discounts around town generously provided by our sponsors! 

After completing the program, receive a t-shirt or a tote bag generously donated by the Friends of Palatine Library. Claim your completion prize while supplies last. T-shirt size selection is limited.

Saturday, June 3, 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. 
Celebrate our Summer Reading Program with family bingo, face painting, and crafts. Activities are available for kids and adults on the first and second floor.
All ages. Drop in. 

Sand Bottle Keychains
12:00 – 3:00 p.m. 
Fill a bottle charm with sand and some shells to hang on a keychain.
All ages. Drop in. 

Balloons Under the Sea
1:00 – 2:00 p.m.
Welcome Smarty Pants for a hilariously fun program featuring magic, comedy, interactive storytelling, and of course balloons.
All ages. Tickets available 5/20 for valid District cardholders.

Saturdays, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Sundays, 12:00 – 4:00 p.m.
June 18, July 16
Stop by to create your own Dive Into Reading inspired art piece. Use your imagination to create underwater adventures with ocean animals or a relaxing beach scene. Want to show off your work? Submit a picture to kids@palatinelibrary.org or ask a staff member to take your photo to be displayed on the monitors.

End of Summer Reading Concert 
Monday, August 7, 11:00 – 11:45 a.m. 
Celebrate the end of Dive Into Reading with a performance by Little Miss Ann who combines her music with movement for a fun, interactive concert!
All ages. Tickets available 7/24 for valid District cardholders.
