On behalf of the Palatine Library District, you are cordially invited to participate in a focus group about your interest in and experience with our libraries. As a member of our community, we need your input in an information gathering session with your peers to discuss library services, programs, and collections and to share how we can continue to support you and your family into the future.
In addition to an open town hall at the Main Library, we are holding space for more focused discussions with individuals from several demographic groups.
To participate, please click below to register for the following focus group option that best suits your experience, interest, and availability:
- September 19, 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
In-Person Discussion for Teens - September 20, 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.
In-Person Discussion in Spanish at the Rand Road Branch - September 21, 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.
Discussion focused on the needs of Recent Immigrants
Located in the Learning Lab at the Community Resource Center - September 21, 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Virtual Zoom Discussion focused on the needs and experiences of individuals who identify as black, indigenous or a person of color (BIPOC)
This is a great opportunity to connect with others in the community and make a positive impact on the future of your Library. Insights shared during the focus group will be invaluable in helping the Library to build programs and services that serve your needs and enhance our community.
All focus groups will be organized and facilitated by a third-party researcher, Essentiam, to encourage open and honest dialogue. Attendees will receive a $25 VISA gift card after they attend and participate in the focus group.
Thank you in advance for participating in this important work!
